timo
Kentboy, I am delighted to be associated with such excellent contemporary music! Radiohead are the finest British band for many a year, in my view. I think if I had to choose I would go for 'Kid A' as my favourite of their albums. There are some almost 'ambient' sections on that recording that would not be out of place on a Brian Eno album. That's an idea- an Eno/Radiohead collaboration! Then again, Radiohead don't really need to collaborate, having enough interesting ideas of their own.
Rushup
At least nobody is listening to Coldplay. My advice to anyone thinking of buying any of their albums (or kaiser cheifs, kasabian, strokes, keane etc); save your money and by a banjo and a carrot, infinitely more interesting, and a real opportunity to get creative. timo
Agent ****, I quite agree with you regarding Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, Strokes and Keane. What a dismal collection of dull dogs indeed! It is hard to imagine any intelligent, discerning person deriving pleasure from such uninspiring, banal, bland fare. What a complete waste of studio time those perfectly dreadful bands are! One imagines the typical Coldplay fan as some pimply Geography student on course for a 2:2 at a 'new' University. Ousetunes
I bought Hayley Westenra's new album, Odyssey last Saturday. It is on non-stop in my car and is absolutely stunning. Her voice is so pure and as luck would have it, I found out yesterday that she's performing at Sheffield Cathedral at the end of the month. She's also easy on the eye, too:thumbsup:
