Albert T Smith Posted March 12, 2007 Share Posted March 12, 2007 Until the mid-1950s Ron Bell ran a garage adjacent to the Dore Moor Inn on Hathersage Road. Does anyone have any recollections or photograph showing the Petrol Pumps outside on the Inns forcourt? Can anyone remember the Caravans that were situated behind the Inn near to the (Tigers) Rugby Football playing field? I think that a fire destroyed a few of the Caravans during the 1950 - 60s. What happened to the Garage's pumps that were situated close to the Road in front of the left-hand side of the Dore Moor Inn (Right-hand looking from the road) it would be interesting to find out.
