Not sure about the John Cleese lookalike Last time I was in there was a big fella behind the bar, who played and sings a few songs and he was deffo Irish.

 

Go in on a friday night and there is a lot of the Irish community in there.

I'm from Ireland and the only authentic Irish pub I have come across is the Dog & Partridge. Bar man was sound but place was a bit grotty. Fagans is apparently good but never been there. Thankfully the plethora of new age irish bars are been phased out but the city is in desperate need for a couple of nice, genuine irish bars that show irish sport
