I know it is risky to invite strangers to your house to play a game of poker, but if you don't trust people, you get nowhere in life, so, if people really are interested in getting together for a drink and a game (for fun, not financially setup for a cash game) then PM me and let me know.

All you need to join Napoleons is proof of Id which is a utility bill or your passport. something with your name and address on. You can just nip down after 7.00pm get a form either fill it in there or take away with you, once its passed back 24 hours later you are a member, they take your id, you play poker not a long time at all to be patient.

I have just enquired and I have been informed that you are incorrect, a utility bill is not enough, they require a utility bill PLUS a bank card with a matching signature, a passport, driving licence, some form of goverment ID either from the police or another official place, so as you can see, they are VERY strict on what proof of ID they need, good thing I didn't get the birth/marriage certificate then, lol, they wouldn't accept that, sheesh.

Hi ppl,

I've been playing holdem for a while now on pokerstars (best online poker room ive come accross. My username is marky2coats, so look me up). Went to Napoleans in Hillsborough for their Thursday night tourney. £10 buy with re buys for 2hours. It was my first time playing in a Casino and it was a bit daunting but that all disapeared 10 mins into the game. I had a excellent time playing with over 60 players for a real big pot. I would recommend it to everyone. Oh and you get a free buffet meal and free sofdrinks with waitress service. Sweet!.

If you can find someone who is already a member they can sign you in. That autmatically makes you a member and u can come back and use the Casino after 24hours.

PS. If people are up for doing a poker school then Id be up for it. Also u dont have to invite ppl to your house, find a nice little pub and play tourney poker with chips?

Mark.

Hi there, I tried to find you on pokerstars, but didn't find ya, let me know when your likely to be on and I shall try again.

At Napoleans what form of ID did you take with you and when you played the game, was it Texas Holdem and the buy in, was it £10 for your first set of chips to play with or did you have to pay£ for the privelage of playing then buy some chips ???

Sorry for having a load of questions, but dunno anyone else who has been, I am surprised that you did not try the training sessions they have, apparently they are free.

Thankyou for the suggestion about a poker venue, I shall speak to the landlord of the local pub and see if they are willing to host a poker club, more on that later.

Hey there,

Im on poker stars every now and then. Send over your id and ill look out for you.

All I took to Napoleans was my passport. Make sure you look smart and definatley no trainers or shoes that look like trainers!. They realy pick up on that (i think i was lucky!).

It was £10 for your first 1000 chips. That also gets you registered to play. For the first 2hours the ante is 25 chips. If you run out of chips or go 500 (i thikn its 500) or below then you can buy another 1000 chips for £10.

Hope this helps.

My ID on pokerstars is the same as it is everywhere else, lol, Kry10.

I have enquired at Napoleans tonight and they have verified that I need to take my bank card and a utility bill, I have no passport/driving licence, I also made enquiries about stakes and so forth, as you say, it is £10 for a buy in then the blinds are £25 small blind £50 big blind, but they didn't say how many chips you get, so thanks for that bit of info, so you have helped a lot.

Hope to see you on pokerstars, if your ever up for a meet and greet then on to the casino, let me know, we have transport available.
