It seems Poker has become realy poular and the Casinos have noticed the fact.

Thursday nights Napoleans £10 buy ins starts around 9:30pm

Wednesday nights (as i was told by a punter at the door) £20 buyins.. apparently ppl come from allround for this one as you can imagine the Pot is a fairly hefty one.

Kry10, defo meet up sometime before heading to a tourney. I will post next time Im going to Napoleans (at this rate it will be this Thursday!). Also it would be realy cool if we could get a Sheffield poker club going. With Holedems popularity realy taking off it could turn into quite a nice little earner if regular, amatuer, poker tournies were held

I have organised small stake games ...

I will consider new players, and lock my tournament to @24 people...

Satellite games played to final table ... wonga for final table....

Do realise this is a charitable game and as such does not involve money on the table or a gaming licence...mmmm

Hi All,

I think all the ideas that have been put around sound great.

I would be interested in meeting for a few hands.

If people are up for it then we could always ask a pub landlord if he would be cool with it, as long as no money changes hands without a gaming licence then don't really need to ask permission but always nice to incase landlord thinks local mafia turning up LOL !!!!.. Also a promise of a nice bar bill will entice any decent landlord.

If people want to play with money then we could put together a table tourney, say 8 or 10 peeps, set amount and then pay out to top 3 etc.

That way everyone knows how much they stand to spend even if the cards don't fall their way.

Anyone up for it then?? Does anyone have a large amount of chips or is it matchsticks????

Cheers

this is standard vegas poker against the bank, not playing against other people.

It is only in table tourneys that you will find hold em being dealt.

From what people have said Naps has a decent one every Wednesday and Thursday.

Give that a try Mark..

Hi,

I haven't sent enough messages to PM yet but would def be interested in any poker night. Would like to play for fun first due to me being new to the game, If anyone knows where I can get a simple explanation of the betting for Texas Hold em I'd be keen to have a look.

Cheers

Try this :

You could also download their poker software... register a guest account and practice playing without have to stake any real money.

Just thought I'd give this one a bit of a *Bump* what with poker on at the moment on channel 5 (and v good it is to). Are people still interested in getting something together? There seems to be so many forum meets popping up, I'm sure a poker forum meet would be a good addition.
