Photos of the 'hundred steps' wanted

Does anyone have any photos of the 'hundred steps' that connected Bromley Street with Mushroom Lane (not the top end by the parks). There were fewer than a hundred steps of course but it often seemed like more when climbing them.

Thanks Plain Talker have seen the photos before but still not managed to find one of the steps. I was trying to explain them to my hubby but a photo would be the best way for him to see just what they were like.

mixedup, my father grew up in that area, as did both his parents, and he often talked about the " 'undr'et steps ", he claims he used to sledge down them in winter!

I lived on Fawcett Street in the 50's and remember the hundred steps which were about halfway up Bromley Street on the left hand side.

I had a school pal called Raymond Earl who lived just before the bottom of the steps on the same side.

you'd probably have known my father's family, then, lastorders! My grandparents lived om Fawcett St, until about 1957 when the clearance took place.

this is an old pic, the terraced housing is long-gone.
