Story: 'A letter from the front.'

Recommended Posts

Every letter I have read with respect to this month's contributions related to the Monthly Theme have been really outstanding in novelty, imagination and quality, pattricia.

I hope there will be many more innovative contributions yet to come. I have yet to make my own contribution, and I agree, against such great competition from the "Writing" Members to-date it's going to be really hard to find the two winners of the prizes on offer for the successful candidates.

I hope we get many more contributions too.

Mantaspook and I are barred from winning any prizes on this Group......and it's still a competition wide open for all who choose to take up the challenge.:)

I'm glad shoeshine mentioned reading to the finale as I nearly missed the end because it was on a separate page - presumably intentional? Talk about a twist in the tale!! Very cleverly done  (By the way, this forum needs a "hats off" smiley...)

Something Remarque-able about this story.

There was the case of the composer who wrote a military march at this time. Someone said that it was too fast to be a march, so he replied "I wrote it for the retreat."
