I guess it will be - around the 25th (I think) of May. Looks interesting and most of the local history societies will be there. Are you focusing on Rotherham only, or Rotherham Borough? maxwell1945 Posted May 27, 2012 Share Posted May 27, 2012 My grandad William Skelton worked for Rotherham coop .He looked after the horses that pulled the draycarts round Rotherham selling fruit and veg etc.He lived at Lincoln Street Rotherham ,this was where all the horses were stabled and the carts kept.I remember as a young lad going round all the carts when they were parked up for the night looking for coins that had dropped through the seat which was a wooden box affair where the driver sat.
