Don_Kiddick
50% of anything is below average, though the figure rises to 99% for Rotherham. cheeky ****!
Bago
I believe that 'agility' and knowledge are impossible to separate. Ability can be cultivated through practice and learning in addition to the simple memorisation of facts - the skills assessed in an IQ test e.g. mental arithmetic, artistic / visualisation skills, diagrammatical interpretation and language skills are all codependent on knowledge and less precisely but with equal reality 'ability', both of which can be developed through learning processes. It's a fact that one can easily learn to be good at IQ tests with practice. I'd define intelligence as a function of the ability to learn and the time spent learning (could come up with a more complete definition than this but not quite as briefly). Intelligence therefore varies throughout life for a single individual and requires both genetic and environmental contributors. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ? :hihi: Oh well, this tickled me today anyway. With regards to your question about what Joe Pleb see as the "real world", I think I will let you figure that out yourself. It took me a few years and weathered some storm to realise that one. So, be cruel to be kind. May the force be with you. V I wish you luck.
Tony
Interesting results. 13.21% think that "No, it's not true and it's cruel to say that 50% are below average" and 86.79 think that "Yes, 50% are as thick as a loaf of bread"
johncocker
Apparently 50% of the population are below average intelligence. It's an interesting statistic. Do you agree? I'd like to see the results for emotional intelligence
LeMaquis
54 people voted and the thread is over 4 years old. It's also a stupid poll. It doesn't say whether the loaf of bread is sliced, wholemeal, or what.
Tony
I'd like to see the results for emotional intelligence I reckon it will be about half. You might think different.
flamingjimmy
You know if you get people to self report their own IQ it turns out that most of us are slightly above average. Also, isn't it frowned upon to bump your own threads?
johncocker
I reckon it will be about half. You might think different. I think they should be more emphasis on it in schools. as for half ,some of the relationships I've seen or been involved in I"d say about zero:D
WasThatWise
50% are above, 50% below and the other 20% didn't take the test.
