  1. 1. Do 50% of people have below average intelligence?

    • No, it's not true and it's cruel to say that 50% are below average.
    • Yes, 50% are as thick as a loaf of bread.

I believe that 'agility' and knowledge are impossible to separate. Ability can be cultivated through practice and learning in addition to the simple memorisation of facts - the skills assessed in an IQ test e.g. mental arithmetic, artistic / visualisation skills, diagrammatical interpretation and language skills are all codependent on knowledge and less precisely but with equal reality 'ability', both of which can be developed through learning processes. It's a fact that one can easily learn to be good at IQ tests with practice.

I'd define intelligence as a function of the ability to learn and the time spent learning (could come up with a more complete definition than this but not quite as briefly). Intelligence therefore varies throughout life for a single individual and requires both genetic and environmental contributors.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ? :hihi: :hihi:

Oh well, this tickled me today anyway. :)

With regards to your question about what Joe Pleb see as the "real world", I think I will let you figure that out yourself. It took me a few years and weathered some storm to realise that one. So, be cruel to be kind. May the force be with you. V

I wish you luck.
