Black Widow
Has anyone had IPL laser hair removal in Sheffield? Does it hurt and is it permanent? I've been looking around a few places and the prices seem to vary although all quite pricey so I want to make the right choice. I think that even if it lasts a few years and saves all the saving and waxing being dark haired that it will be worth it and always seems to be featured on programs like Embarrassing Illnesses. My GP also suggested that it was a good method for problems with ingrowing hairs which would be a godsend. I've been looking at SKN on Psalter lane and TransformingLives.co.uk at Sheffield airport. Both have offers on and Transform looks to be the cheaper of the 2 so far going on the websites. Any advice would be appreciated as for a course of 6 treatments for half leg, bikini line and underarm it seems to range from £1200 to £1500. KLH2405
I had an IPL treatment at the Transform Clinic at the Sheffield Airport Business Park. The people there are very helpful, and really friendly. I had a treatment on my face and it has definatly worked for me, its amazing! It has given me so much more confidence. The treatment was quite painful for me at first, but after a couple of sessions it became a lot better. If you find this treatment really painful, there is a numbing cream (EMLA) which they will supply you with at your chosen clinic. The amount of pain differs in every area you have treated. At tranform you can have a free consultation, with an IPL patch test to make sure you dont have any reactions, and they will quote you the cost of your treatment. Mattenmurg
I had laser hair removal on my underarms about 8 years ago with Boots when they did it. I hurts, but not that much. And it's pretty quick really (well, on underarms!) However, it wasn't permanent. I had 7 sessions spread over 18 months I think and although there was a reduction, you wouldn't know I'd had it at all now. Shame 'cause it was big money for me then!
