Hairyloon
Ah well, never mind, I should've posted sooner. Still, you'll know for next time and the queue to my house is usually much shorter than the one to the tip.

Guest sibon
Whatever you do, don't pour it down the drain. Or this happens Mind you, I'm loving the word "fatberg".
Alcoblog
It is possible to convert used cooking oil into rather large amounts of eco friendly cash! The chemical formula for standard vegetable oil is C3H5O6C(2n+x)3 ... where n=15,17,19 or 21, and x= +/- 1,-3 or -5. Meanwhile ... the chemical formula for crystal meth just happens to be C10H15N. Without going into technical detail, it's pretty easy to see from the above that with just a bit of basic chemistry, a sieve (for straining out the burnt batter bits purposes), a breathing mask and a fully kitted out bio-chemical engineering laboratory, vast fortunes can be made in a relatively short time, and is of course the reason why fish and chip shops are 'closed' for a vast proportion of the day. Did you catch that Kevin MacLeod episode where he went fatberg mining to make fuel? A daft idea, except to make the point.

Alco, you seem to know rather a lot about the technical details here. I also notice there are more chip shops per capita in Crookes than any other district of Sheff (FACT). I hope the authorities are taking note.
