Blackbeard
It looks like it see http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/your-city-council/council-meetings/planning-boards/west-and-north/agendas-2007/agenda-13-february-2007/plg-control-pitsmoor-road Nos.249-251 Pitsmoor Road is a Grade II Listed Building. 249-251 was originally 2 separate houses built around 1825. The property is within a Housing policy area and Area of Special Character as defined in the adopted Sheffield Unitary Development Plan.

maidofhonour
Went to have a look and the building is definately still there, its an office. The info about the building in the message above reads as if the building was two buildings, I can only assume it was a 'semi detached'. Thanks once again for the info. rubydazzler
Christ Church is mentioned in that report. I thought Christ Church was the one at the junction with Minna Road, that was demolished years ago

Plain Talker
Christ Church is mentioned in that report. I thought Christ Church was the one at the junction with Minna Road, that was demolished years ago Christ Church is the one on the corner of Pitsmoor Road and Nottingham street. I'm sure the one at minna road might have been Burngreave methodist? http://www.picturesheffield.com/cgi-bin/picturesheffield.pl?_cgifunction=form&_layout=picturesheffield&keyval=sheff.refno=s05025 which is knocked down, and was replaced by housing, and a much smaller chapel incorporated into the housing complex. or did you mean this one? http://www.picturesheffield.com/cgi-bin/picturesheffield.pl?_cgifunction=form&_layout=picturesheffield&keyval=sheff.refno=s13969 (the italianate catholic church, St Catherines?) this picture is of "wicker congs" but It doesn't look anything like the wicker, it looks like further up burngreave perhaps? http://www.picturesheffield.com/cgi-bin/picturesheffield.pl?_cgifunction=form&_layout=picturesheffield&keyval=sheff.refno=s15408
Plain Talker
it's just occurred to me, that the minna road junction is housing, and the churches were clustered a bit lower down the hill,
Plain Talker
I found another photograph of "Wicker Congs" on a different part of Picture sheffield. http://www.picturesheffield.com/cgi-bin/picturesheffield.pl?_cgifunction=form&_layout=picturesheffield&keyval=sheff.refno=s09196 but with more information, this time; which says the chuch was at the corner of Burngreave Road, and Ellesmere Road, so I presume it was near-ish to where the original library building, and vestry hall are, now. I remember All Saints still standing, a little further on, near the school on ellesmere road, many years ago.
retep
it's just occurred to me, that the minna road junction is housing, and the churches were clustered a bit lower down the hill, I think you were right with this one, I'm sure the one at minna road might have been Burngreave methodist? http://www.picturesheffield.com/cgi-...f.refno=s05025. Demolished by White's,late 1970's?, then flats were built on the site.
