Beatles in Sheffield

I remember seeing the Beatles at The City Hall in 1962 (I think). I was 15 and was taken by my first boyfriend. The Acts I remember were Chris Montez and Tommy Roe (American singers if anyone remembers). At the time I had never heard of The Beatles and whilst Chris Montez was singing, people kept shouting "We want the Beatles" over and over. I remember he got quite angry and told someone to "get back in their cage". Saw the Beatles a few years later at the City Hall and they were top of the bill.
