AndyH1963
Hi all I have some cine film taken at Longley Baths in the early 1960s - hoping to get it onto DVD soon. Does anyone remember comedy skits that were put on for the audience - there is some film of this with people falling off the diving boards in costumes etc Thanks
francypants
I spent many happy summer days in Longley pool. My sister who is 4 years older than me used to take me and yes the water was always freezing cold. I can also remember on days when we hadn't enough money to go in, we used to peep through holes in the wooden fence wishing we could get in. That was in the 60s ......... happy days.
