Music at The Black Swan

Recommended Posts

Does anyone remember seeing a band called Octopus at the Black Swan in the early seventies? They did a brilliant version of "Morning" and "Hall Of The Mountain King" from "Peer Gynt". As I recall there was much pot banging and shouting for encores.

Does anyone remember a band called Stackridge that played at the Black Swan in the early 70's?

I first saw them at Leeds Uni supporting Curved Air and they were brilliant.

Any road up, apparently they've reformed and they're back at the Boardwalk later in the year according to their website.

Incredibly Stackridge have recently been doing some come back shows. Aahh Sunday nights at the Black Swan, 1970's, pub rock etc, Kilburns, Brinsley Schwartz, Ducks Deluxe, yes indeed Patto but the biggest treat of all, Dick and the Firemen, anyone remember? (Phil Tarry are you listening?)
