Buccaneer
Does anyone remember seeing Patto at the 'Mucky Duck' in the 70's What a fantastic band - hit by tragedy & death - but what a player Olly Halsall was!! Fantastic.
Sultana
I never heard them, but my husband has one of their L.P's.
Norbert
Did you know you can buy a CD of the very concert from the drummer: http://www.olliehalsall.co.uk/warts.htm "Ollie wasn't the greatest guitarist in the world, but he was certainly in the top two"
Buccaneer
Hi Norbert Thanks for the tip - I just bought the Album and I might well visit John Halsall's pub in Cambridge. Thanks for the info!!

drinkingman
Does anyone remember seeing a band called Octopus at the Black Swan in the early seventies? They did a brilliant version of "Morning" and "Hall Of The Mountain King" from "Peer Gynt". As I recall there was much pot banging and shouting for encores. RoyalRegular
Does anyone remember a band called Stackridge that played at the Black Swan in the early 70's? I first saw them at Leeds Uni supporting Curved Air and they were brilliant. Any road up, apparently they've reformed and they're back at the Boardwalk later in the year according to their website. StanRobinson
Incredibly Stackridge have recently been doing some come back shows. Aahh Sunday nights at the Black Swan, 1970's, pub rock etc, Kilburns, Brinsley Schwartz, Ducks Deluxe, yes indeed Patto but the biggest treat of all, Dick and the Firemen, anyone remember? (Phil Tarry are you listening?) SR
Lostrider
It was Elke Brooks, Robert Palmer and crew - AKA Vinegar Joe that did it for me. Patto were good, as were our very own Shape Of The Rain.
