She has been trying for some years now, and I am trying everything I can, in order to help her (she's even phoned ALL the Stanniforth's in the Sheffield telephone directory some years ago!!). Anyway....Sheila was born in Sheffield (C1931/2), on Doe Royd Lane, Parson Cross and went to Meynall School. She met and married a US GI called Bob Jossume (not sure of the spelling!) and then went on to live in America. Her mum was called Victoria and we think her dad was called Stan (although that 'may' have been his nickname). I really hope someone out there can help us, no matter how insignificant the info may seem.....you never know....it could just be the missing piece of the jigsaw!!!! Thank you.
