boutiquechoc
It's actually a cultural thing - I know of no modern religion which supports this. Apparantly up until about 1968 or sometime, Italy used to do it also. Think I read that in the Times last sunday.

Blacknight
You have brought dishonour to our family, I shall restore that honour by committing murder. When you put it that way, it does sound a bit contradictory, doesn't it? The whole thing is totally insane.

StarSparkle
Only if you insist on defining honour in terms of OUR culture, instead of theirs. When in Rome, Heyesey... If these people want the benefits of living here, then they have to accept they are subject to our laws, not theirs StarSparkle
Bassman62
Over 2800 Honour crimes in the UK last year. The police try and cover it up under the 'Domestic Violence' banner, I wonder on whose instructions. Since when has an 'Honour Crime' been 'Domestic Issue'?
