Adelphi has it listed for a Halloween bash but Uprising is supposed to be on that night too, as well as a new gay night. Will it ever go back to the arches? Are there any other techno nights in yorkshire? The only others I know about are Planet Zogg (went on saturday but thought it was too 'nice') and Riff Raff, which I haven't managed to get to yet. Some stuff at the Earl on occasion, getting to cold for the out door parties..Dooooooomed! Headcharge is still at the Adelphi acording to the website. Headcharge have been having lots of venue problems since the Arches shut down (which used to be the main underground venue in Sheffield- basically one step up from a warehouse party!!) - and think they are still trying to sort out a party for October (and beyond).. (but theyve never done a party at Zero) - you might be better contacting them directly to find out whats going on. I wouldnt hold your breath about the arches re-opening... Straight techno has never been that big in Sheffield - well not over the last 5 years - though acid techno was massive a few years ago. Your best bet to hear some locally is probably via the free parties put on by the NTA (http://www.nta303.co.uk). Further affield -in Leeds- - Riffraff is more NRG/Hard Trance than techno, Cabbage veers between psy trance one month and acid techno/hard trance the next and Euphonic is acid techno. have alook at http://www.dirtytechno.org for more info And if you dont like "nice" nights - try Manchester - cos they're all gnarly moody b**tards over there - though again techno is very limited there these days. The next Zogg in Nov has the mighty Zen Terrorists playing - who are a lot harder than Weirdo who was on on sat but hopefully it'll be just as "nice"!!
