baby barrie
Can Any Body Remember The Fruit And Veg Carts Down Hillsborough ?
keefdave
Certainly can. The one on Brier Street was owned by the Corker family and the one on Roselle Street was owned by the florist on Proctor Place (who's name evades my memory at the moment). arrodbo
Yes, I remember them well they always gave value for money and i,m sure the goods seemed fresher than the plastics stuff you get from supermarkets.
Rachylou
I bought a book called a Hillsborough camera' its full of old photos of Hillsborough and there was one of the fruit and veg cart. I'd forgotten about them until i saw that.

kensimmo
Certainly can. The one on Brier Street was owned by the Corker family and the one on Roselle Street was owned by the florist on Proctor Place (who's name evades my memory at the moment). This was the Bingley Family; I knew the son, Mick,. who I believe inherited the business when his mother, Nellie, passed away. He had a sister, Vicky.
