0007MACCA
It took me 3 hours to get from hull to sheffield earlier today and had to ditch my van due to all the roads closed near my house!

WhiteHawk
My mate texted me about half an hour ago, he works with me in Heeley so finished at 5:30 and has ended up having to abandon his car at Tankersley and walk from there to Chapeltown!!! zepstox
Can't see it being a problem tomorrow, but the road from Stocksbridge up to the Silver Fox is 2 foot deep by the old Corus No 1 gate.
Ms D Mina
I got back from High Green earlier - went to tankersley roundabout, came off bypass toward wortley. Left onto Finkle street, thru Green Moor and down to Stocksbridge. Manchester Road is closed just pass the Silver Fox so you'll have to go round the back way (Unsliven / Cross Lane / etc). Good luck
Ravenger
Tried to detour around the traffic chaos on the A61 tonight, via Stocksbridge, and Manchester Road was flooded in several places. In Stocksbridge itself we saw one road where the there was a river flowing down it, with a large part of the road surface washed away. Avoid if possible! Took us four hours to get home, compared with a normal time of less than an hour.

frickerley
Not good down there, the junction from blackburn rd to fife st was under several ft of water at 6pm, as well as ecclesfield rd. might be ok from rotherham but I'd reckon the roads will be closed.
