Hiya Paul52, Yes the original Register office was opposite the central library , and my wife and I were married there in 1964 and still going strong. lazarus Posted January 7, 2005 Share Posted January 7, 2005 Im almost sure that the old Registrar Office was knocked down unfortunatley. The Surrey Pub was a Masons Hall, if you look at the building you can see the masons insignias around the freeze. The Registrar Office was next door to the Surrey.
