Gypsy Hack
Take your pick. Just look how good life was in East Germany (and if you believe that you'll believe anything) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0_lWOlIbqE *Snicker* Old propaganda films from either side are all comical. Check out this, from the US: http://www.jonhs.net/freemovies/make_mine_freedom.htm To answer your question directly, I once nearly joined a Trotskyist organisation at a party one night, til they ran out of beer and started talking internal politics. Gypsy Hack
I was once a member of the labour party but I grew up and became a tory. Even voted for maggie. Ah, the Tories. The political equivalent of your seventeen year-old sister who thinks she's so awfully mature because she can drive a car and get really worked up about the latest Corrie plot developments. Way to grow up, my friend. But maturing works much better if you learn things whilst doing it.
