Given kabba's record on injuries and the new rules on the transfer market i think its wise that warnock increases the size of the squad in ALL positions!!!

Especially as we are playing 2 reserve sides next season!!!

BLADES CALL ON CARDIFF

BOSS Neil Warnock of Sheffield United has made inquiries about Cardiff trio Alan Lee, Peter Thorne and Cameron Jerome as he rebuilds his side for another push for the Premiership.

Thorne, 31, scored 14 goals last season and former Rotherham striker Lee was targeted by Warnock in December.

Jerome broke into the first team last season. Cardiff are £30million in debt and need to sell players to slash their wage bill. Also a bid for Helguson is still in at Watford but Utd have not heard nothing as yet regarding the bid.UP THE BLADES

Oldham boss Ronnie Moore is believed to have turned his attention to Andy Liddell as a move for Luke Beckett falters.

Beckett had been the club's primary target but Moore admits that this deal now looks dead in the water as the player, who has been transfer listed, is keen to fight for a place at Bramall Lane.

Liddell, who has also been told that he can leave by Blades boss Neil Warnock, is now being considered along with Wrexham's Juan Ugarte and Coventry's Andy Morrell.

''We’ve gone as far as we can go with Beckett,'' Moore told the Oldham Advertiser.

''We’ve spoken to the three players, as have five or six other clubs, but they all want to play in the Championship.

''It’s a waiting game but I’d like to get something sorted before we leave for Ibiza on July 3.''

Oldham are also thought to have entered the race to land Birmingham goalkeeper Ian Bennett - a purported target of Sheffield United and Leeds.

Meanwhile, Hucknall Town wide man Andy Todd, 26-years-old, is to have a trial at Boundary Park.

well looks like beckett may be staying after all :D

Ipswich manager Joe Royle has admitted he would be keen on signing Reading striker Nicky Forster.

Forster is looking for a new club after rejecting a new deal at Reading.

The news has alerted a number of clubs to Forster's availability with Sheffield United and Stoke both believed to be keen on his signature.

Ipswich are hoping to steal a march on their Championship rivals by luring Forster to Portman Road.

"Nicky Forster is definitely a player who interests us but that's all I am going to say on the subject," said Royle.

"There is nothing imminent. I am on holiday but I am not completely switched off."

Royle also revealed he is still hoping to tie down key trio Jim Magilton, Shefki Kuqi and Tommy Miller to new deals.

"I am still talking to Tommy, Jim and Shefki about their contracts."

i'd rather see wanchope anyways :hihi: :hihi:

the casino plans in all honesty are getting a bit tedious now, they have been around so long and not one thing has yet appeared except a load of stories of how it is will re-generate sheffield united base.

as for the new stand, from what it says on the SUFC site (although this site is not the best for sources lol) i believe we would be joining it on to the corner stand, would make it look great too, and if it is 2 tiers would look great. especially with a few bars in there, and a ne scoreboard on it too....... oooo and maybe a large tv he he he

now im dreaming :D

I also think they are going a bit OTT with the casino plans, but if they could just get a little one in there (like the on on eccy road) and make it exclusive with a good restaurant i think it would be good.
