I would say ours is pretty much the same, we just congregate outside now!

Quieter and there is a very disturbing smell of stale beer,sweat & old fag smoke....

Certainly a lot cheaper and less hassle to get some beers in from Tesco, get your mates round and smoke in the comfort of your own home

Speaking as a non smoker who actually had no problem with smokers in pubs, I have to say that most pubs I go in do seem to be quieter wether with smokers missing or due to holidays I dont know.

 

What I do find quite concerning is entering the pub through the crowd mingling on the doorsteps the question I would ask is this stopping people entering pubs I walked past a certain well known city centre pub the other day and the clientele lingering around both entrances to this main road pub would certainly not have encouraged me to enter.

 

But one nice innovation in a pub on Langsett Road was boiled sweets etc on the bar to trying to alleviate the yearning for the killer weed a far better proposition than an ashtray.

Our local seems to be around the same although most people including non smokers spend more time outside than in.

How are night clubs coping as they really can't let people wander in and out all night?

Well the nightclub i went in on Friday just refused to let anyone have a fag. There was no designated areas to smoke and wouldnt allow you to go outside. Resulted in people having sneaky fags in the toilets.
