Dannyno
Of course you can be both a friend and mother, its ridiculous to suggest otherwise! I think it's arguable. Neither side is obviously "ridiculous", and it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

Bollie
What are foils? A hairdresser takes small sections of hair, puts a piece of foil underneath and paints a colour on, the folds the foil in half and sticks it together. The process is repeated until all the hair has been coloured and the whole head is covered in foils. Its a kind of modern way of using a bleaching cap. irenewilde
My daughter is 12 wants full head foils doing. I don't really want to pay full whack as she's only a kid. Does anyone know anyone/where that offers a reduced price for kids? Kids at 12 want all sorts of things. You don't have to, nor is it a good idea to, say yes to all of them. This is a definite 'no'. Stanleybobs
You can't really expect people to not have a negative opinion about this. The child is 12 years old. She does not need 'foils' or in fact any kind of hair dye. She's a child! Not to mention the exposure to chemicals, possible negative self-image, and all the other not very nice things that may - or may not - happen when a parent allows a child to play in grown-up world. And to then, further, expect a discount at a hairdresser's, for the fact that she is a child? To be honest I thought this was a wind-up when I first saw your post, OP. I asked about a discount because discounts are applied to haircuts. I thought, as some salons have a minimum age of 12, that discounts may apply to colour too. Stanleybobs
Please don't let your daughter have foils. It's too too young.
