I believe that since the council took over the up keep of it after it was abandoned by the church that some of it has started to be cleared now. There is still a long way to go though... bazattwo Posted May 30, 2011 Share Posted May 30, 2011 (edited) Does anyone know anything about the history of the cemetry in the woods behind Hillsboro Leisure Centre. I was there on Sunday and did not know of this. The gravestones date from the 1860s, some militry personnel from the 1860 period.
