The benefits class

Recommended Posts

Thanks again Starsparkle, I owe you a Pint or 3 :)

And for the benefit of readers of THAT paper, I have actually applied for 4 jobs via Mysheffieldjobs.co.uk web site in the last couple of days.

I hope to hear from at least one of them in due course.

And a bloke from Remploy's ringing me up tomorrow for a telephone interview at 1 PM.

Good luck - fingers crossed for you

Bloody hell, people still believe that crap? You really are a throwback to the bad old times when unions thought themselves more powerful than govt. The likes of Arthur Scargill was responsible for the demise of the unions, i detested Thatcher but had to give grudging respect for someone who was "not for turning" as for the great property sell off, the vast majority of people i know who took advantage of the right to buy have never been so well off, and are still living in the same property without having any rent to pay, and can look forward to secure retirements.

Obviously all of the people that YOU know will be successful and hard working.

I've never 'met' a more deserving candidate for a good dose of kharma - be patient Mr Contrite, - it will find you.

I don't want to get too off topic but the point isn't quite so complex and political as you would have us believe Mr C.

After the 2nd world war there was a realisation that by pulling together we, as a nation, could achieve so much.

The class divides still existed, but the war was a great leveller; the ruling classes were somewhat in awe of the courage and tenacity of the ordinary men and women of this country, they stopped veiwing them as undeserving scum and for a time, perhaps up to the 70s, there was a definite improvement in the standard of living for everyone.

It was simply a case of being more FAIR. The rich taking (slightly) less and allowing more of the countries wealth to filter down.

Your hero Thatcher and her band of thieves were the first to realise that coal and steel could be bought from foreign slave trading countries so much cheaper than we could produce it ourselves - the rest is history.

As for the unions - they were definitely out of control, but it was not necessary to destroy them - they could have been brought tot their sences.

There is no FAIRNESS anymore in low paid work. - It is a widely held opinion that this is the deliberate, cynical and underhanded way that the present government manipulates the working classes into accepting either low wages or unemployment - while they (the government) exploit the desperation of thousnds of immigrants by turning a blind eye to the Dickensian conditions that these people are subjected to.

Whether the British workers choose unemployment or virtual slave labour makes no difference to the gov'. They're still QUIDS IN.

Can't you find a BETTER way of inflating your ego than by stamping on people who are already down?

You really should look further than the end of your nose Mr C. - And not believe EVERYTHING that you see, hear and read.

I heard back from one of those jobs I applied for anyway.

"Sorry we can't help you at this time, we have so many people on our books and we are looking for specialist experience"

Specialist my arse! They just don't want someone with a communication disorder!

It could possibly be that you realy don't have the relevant experience.

which happens to everyone.

although i think it's 'cos they don't want to employ a fat man. it's dead easy to blame someone else all the time.

it's inevitable that some people will prefer not to employ some people and not always for a good reason.

It seems to me that you are blatantly TROLLING Mr C.

Be careful, I might make an exception to my rule of never reporting people like yourself. (Preferring to deal with them myself).

You are a joke - you provoke attention to satisfy your own twisted ego. You get perverse pleasure out of arbitrarily demonising millions of people.
