MadSam Posted July 21, 2007 Share Posted July 21, 2007 Anyone out there whould like to introduce me to freshwater fishing in this area. I moved from italy 3 months ago. I work and live in Sheffield. I wrote for fishing magazine in italy and love trout fishing and pike fishing......but up to now haven't had any chance to go out mainly because i don't have the clue of where to go, permits, etc. Just looking for a fishing mate who would like to share his passion for outdoor with me! First thing to do is get yourself a fishing licence from the Post Office or I think you can do it online. Have a look here aswell for some ideas of where to fish http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=214332&highlight=fishing&page=3 I think one of the best places near you would be Wire Mill dam(up Ringinglow Road,turn right at the fire station down Common Lane.The dam is about a mile down the road on the left.You can't fail to catch a fish there.Hope that helps.
