elethiomel
I went in last week and had several pints. They were all lovely, were topped up to a satisfactory level and I can just about manage £2.20 - £2.40 for a pub just off the main drag.
mrsmills
I wish pubs, especially when they make an effort with the beer would do more than simply phone up 3663 or Brake Bros., et. al for their food, it's bad for pubs in general IMO, giving the impression Wetherspoons is a kind of benchmark and I don't see from a business point of view it achieves a great deal. Given the cost of the overheads and the food itself and the ceiling there seems to be on the price of that kind of pretty average 'pub grub' (largely because Cavendish, Wetherspoons, etc. buy and cook in such volume do food for little money) is it really worth the while of these pubs? Real ale and real food - surely they go together? Still glad to see Red Deer tidied up a bit not been for a while but will make the effort asap.
