JenC Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 Gran (mums side): Burngreave (Melrose Rd) & Ecclesall (Blair Athol Rd) Grandad (mums side): Pitsmoor (Malton St) Gran & Grandad married and moved to Handsworth, had my mum, and moved to Greenhill when my mum was 2. Gran (dads side): Walkley (Fulton Rd) Grandad (dads side): Walkley (also Fulton Rd) They married and moved to Storrs Hall Rd in Walkley, and thats where my dad grew up. My gran still lives there. All g-grandparents from sheff (inc. Pitsmoor and the old back to back houses on Carver St, city centre) except one from Oxford (Western Rd) and one from somewhere in France (dont know where because she was adopted by english people when she was a girl, and the adoption records from that time arent very good). G-G grandparents from Sheff (Infirmiry Rd, Carver St, Rockingham St also Rock St in Pitsmoor), Newark, and Tuxford. G-G-G-grandad owned the Lodge Inn on Spital Hill for a while (it was still there a few months ago but in a terrible state, no doubt the bulldozers will move in on it ) Dont think theres any other areas relating to my family.
