Elmambo
It was on the corner of Bramall Lane and Alderson Rd. Now demolished opposite James Cycles Owned by Mick Housley, I believe. Good late night venue
DUFFEMS
Owned by Mick Housley, I believe. Good late night venue It must have been one of a very few "late night venues" in the '60's as there were no night clubs then (that I recall). My brother spent just about every night in there. crookesey
It must have been one of a very few "late night venues" in the '60's as there were no night clubs then (that I recall). My brother spent just about every night in there. It used to fill up after chucking out time at the Heart Beat and Locarno. It had a bagatelle game machine, I think that it had a basement room as well.

vanner
If I remember correctly when you left Baileys on Bank St you could nip next door into the casino, which if memory serves was open till 4 am. But only for coffee. Was the Heartbeat obove Queens rd ice rink?
vanner
Owned by Mick Housley, I believe. Good late night venue I was pretty sure that I was correct, despite not wearing my specs. I think in all honesty that things were a lot more relaxed then. There didn`t seem to be as much binge drinking, if that`s the correct term. moetchampers
This was a boutique, very very trendy, was there a coffee shop there too, I dont remember there being one. Does anyone remember the coffee shop on the Manor Top? I cant remember its name, it was next to the Manor Welfare, on the opposite side to Manor Library, there was a driveway in between the Welfare which led down behind it. The coffee shop was set back from the row of shops it was attached to. I was a regular in the mid sixties. It did nice coffee in glass cups and had a jukebox my parents met there!!
