alchresearch
There is a German one that comes to Manchester quite often. The sights, sounds and smells, especially on a cold day so close to Christmas (when I went to it) is wonderful!
*Twinkle*
Caprice: About food hygiene. Don't worry yourself too much. Can't help worrying really, its just that I studied for my basic food hygiene certificate and we had all the dangers/hazards etc drummed into us. It's hard for me to walk past a potential food hazard without passing comment, somethings just need to be said!
Agent Orange
Just this minute returned from Fargate where I discovered they have a european style market set up. Just couldn't resist the Paella!! Does anyone know if this will be a regular event?

Agent Orange
personally, i think that the market is a great idea and i look forward to its return. although, i do think it would be better if it was set up anywhere else but fargate.

tiffy
I passed it with my daughter who wanted to try almost everything she saw. I was put off by a couple of lads who were roasting nuts in a cauldron and smoking. Was this the same market that used to be held on the Cathedral side of that area ? Someone told me about a market there but I sometimes avoid Saturday shopping in town.
Andy
There didn't seem to be as many stalls this time as before. Did anyone else think that? It was a shame about the wind at the weekend - it blew the flower stall away! It does get a bit crowded on Fargate when the market's happening, but where else could it be held?
