Good point well made! Who needs knifes?! They are far too dangerous everyone should be made to use spoons! They aren't dangerous are they?

Fork getting rid of guns, spoonings good with women I agree but you need a knife to to cut to the chase. Spoons can be a deadly weapon for gouging out eyes. When was the last time anyone carved roast beef with a spoon?.

I think that the issue is that shooting someone with a gun is physically a lot less challenging, or even personal, than stabbing someone or beating some with with a heavy object. To stab someone or beat someone, you have really mean it to get up close to someone and inflict such violence.

It's much easier to point a cylindrical piece of metal at someone a pull a trigger.

And yet the million odd legal owners hardly ever do it.

No. We have the strictest laws going. Shooting is a fantastic sport. If some nutter wants to kill they will find away regardless of the law. Leave gun owners alone, with your knee-jerk reactions.

But it's perfectly fine to have knee jerk reactions when I'm opposed to something isn't it?

Especially when it's a subject like guns, on which I know very little, other than that people sometimes get murdered by them!

It's a bit like someone telling me that cannabis shouldn't be legalised because it is dangerous, even though they know nothing about drugs!;)

Knowing what you know about drugs, you'll know that guns cannot be banned either.

Restricted access and airsoft guns are a better alternative.

What I do know about drugs, especially cannabis, is that in the right hands, just like a gun, they are harmless!

Some people seem to choose to ignore that point! And it' usually the ones that no nothing about drugs!
