Ally68
Looking at the results of the poll in this thread nobody backed England . Does anybody know what the odds were for England retaining the world cup?
CHAIRBOY
A racehorse trainer told me at Wetherby on Wednesday that he'd backed England "early-on at 33-1". I advised him to lay it off and profit either way but not sure if that advice will be heeded? I also know a non-English BBC man who has £50 at 100-1. Now he is too shrewd to let it ride! Ally68
Argentina winning 17-3 atm! I would have put money on France winning this one, what a surprise so far. Good game though!
CHAIRBOY
Argentina winning 17-3 atm! I would have put money on France winning this one, what a surprise so far. Good game though! A very feisty affair with both teams starting the second half with fourteen men! It's not a going through the motions game! I thought France would win because in the opening game, Argentina played to the top of their game but effectively won by an interception try. They have done so well in this tournament. France? Well, as always, the question remains - which French team will turn up?
happyhippy
I thought this might peter out into a nothing match too, but it's absorbing!
Ally68
Brillint try to make it 22 to the Argentinians.
CHAIRBOY
It really does beg the rhetorical question (forward pass) but how did France beat the most talented team in the tournament, NZ?
