Nina-Sheff
Hi I read ur post re Darwin of Sheffield. I have inherited a 1920's Straight Blade Razor which is in mint condition. It was my grandfather's, who bought it when it was just made and he & my late father both worked there. I think that the building is still there with the name on it but I don't think the company is still trading. A shame really with some of the beautiful items they produced. I think I have a photo of the factory somewhere, I'll have a look & if I find it I'll try & upload it on here.

old tup
Never mind your mamby-pamby safety razors our old boy used a cut throat like Sweeny Todds!.It has not so fond memories for me as the leather strop used to sharpen it frequented around my legs when I was in short trousers after I had been a very naughty disobedient little scroat, which happened a lot!.
