Sheffield Playhouse

I remember as a teenager going to the Playhouse to watch

a production that starred one of the Scaffold pop group.

I think it was John Gorman (the bald one)

I recall Gorman came out on stage at the interval and

started kicking a football into the stalls - the audience kicked or

threw it back to him - much to my amusement.

I can remember this but not the title of the production ?

Must have been around 1967

Anyone out there remember this ?

Hi Shelby - Thanks for that, although it is not ringing too many bells - I think the one

I saw was more of a black comedy.

I was in the school drama group and we often got a party booking for the Playhouse.

I do remember - Under Milk Wood - Stirrings in Sheffield and any Shakespeare play

that was on that season .

There must be a list of Playhouse Productions somewhere !
