Not been, but many I know have.

Its open to all, has a nice bar - possibly a dancefloor - and the food is supposed to be excellent. Its quite possible to have a good night out there without actually gambling.

I just mentioned it to show the general level of establishment they frequent, not that I'm suggesting Napoleons is full of pervs or half naked women.

As an intermitent regular of Napolians or "naps" as it is known locally I would say it is quite a good place to go for a social late drink.

It does have its fair amount of posers but on the whole it is quite a friendly crowd.

There is a large bar upstairs with no gambling (apart from the bandit) and a big screeen tv.

Friday and saturday nights get very busy but apart from thursday night it tends to be very quiet in the week.

The bar is open till 2 am except sundays.

Have never seen any trouble as there are loads of bouncers and of course it is a members club.

You have to join or be signed in by a member.

I would be very careful downstairs as the combination of drink and the excitement of the casino can lead to losing far to much on the tables.

I don't go so much at the moment as I am sick of waking up with that 2am hangover thing:)

Can someone confirm something for me.

I was initially a member of Bonaparte's next to the Dog track. I always understood it that Napoleons and Bonaparte's were the same. However, on one occasion a couple of years ago I tried to enter Napoleons on Ecclesall road only to be denied for the reason that I had to be a member and the Bonaparte's one was separate. Now they are both called Napoleons does that mean I can now enter both?
