modern-retro
Hi all. Been in Sheffield 20 years but never been to Buxton. So I am planning a day trip on Fri. What is there to do?

karl101
You get to see lots of faded Victorian stuff. Its OK for the over 60's. There's Pooles Cavern, Five Ways Cafe And Laundrette, The Pavilion Gardens, The Slopes, and a water fountain where you can stock up on Buxton water for free. Lickszz
I'm sure there is a nice park in Buxton.
c_datexpress
I went the other week - bit dreary i have to say. Not really what i was expecting. The Pavillion Gardens were nice but I reckon a summers day is probably more condusive to 'having fun' there!! Some dodgy shops and blue-rinse cafes. Did manage to find a really great little antique book shop and a small wine bar which was alright and served reasonable coffee!! Have fun!
modern-retro
Thank you all. I decided to put it off until the summer.
