Becci85
Depends on what sort of scale you're talking.. i think a music festival in sheffield would be good.. but would it be related to sheffield i.e bands from sheffield or just be a general festival? groovykyle
Definately Sheffield orientated, not ruling out 100% the possibility of other bands/musicians/performers from different places, but a strong Sheffield feel to the festival would be paramount. John Locke
Somthing on the scale of the Leeds Carling festival, and with a decent line up, would be pretty darn good for Sheffield I think.
Rushup
I'm told Sheffield City Council are a massive hurdle when it comes to any kind of outdoor music event.

discodown
Of course it would be great but where would you hold it and how long would it last?
Becci85
you might be best contacting SIV for don valley stadium..? they likle their music.. might be able to use their grounds like they do for things like after dark?? then the council dont have to get that involved do they??? Rushup
There's Devonshire Green, but if I remember rightly the Devonshire Jam was moved from there as it was too expensive. And the council were being their usual helpful selves. Not really sure where else you could have it. Endcliffe Park maybe? There's a fairground there every year for about a week so why not music for a weekend?
