What Are The Most Soulless Towns Or Place In The UK

Recommended Posts

We lived in Telford for a few years that place takes some beating for being a boring town with loads of retail parks and roundabouts everywhere, the locals would go on about this hill called the wrekin I said to them that we had a hill in Sheffield called roman ridge that was ten times the size of that, talk about a flat and boring place loads of wimpey built egg box houses, all the pubs were the same sort of characterless eating houses..just a complete dull and boring place in the middle of nowhere.

Hemel Hempstead. It's basically a retail / business park off the M1. Many roundabouts, a bit of the old Hemel which makes you realise just how much the place has been 5hit on, otherwise grimness.

Corby in Northants is pretty bad too. Most of it was built in one fell swoop so it's overwhelmingly 1960's concrete grot.

Cleethorpes! :gag:

Accidentally went there the other day. The 'Pleasure beach consists of the 'Big Wheel' and the microscopically large 'Roller Coaster'!

What a dreary, dreadful place. It appears to be a satellite town attached to the rear end of Grimsby … the giveaway being the first four letters of the latter.

Stayed for as long as our sensibilities would allow … about fifteen minutes as it transpired.
