Here are some other names I remember, See how many you know. Hopefully I have got their dept. correct. but I am going back 19 years!

In no particular order.

Keith Roderick (Pattern shop?)

Wally (Welding)

John Lawson (melting shop?)

Peter (Labourer)

Martin (Electrician) - he had a darked haired mate who's name I can't recall, but these two were a laugh a minute and made a great double act!

Brian King (melting shop)

Paula Turtle (Accounts)

Geoff Dukes

Geoff Weldon (Sales)

June Vallance (Wages)

Talking of small world - whilst working in Debenhams a couple of years ago I was working with a YOUNG lad whose DAD turned out to be 'Wally' as listed above. Now I remember him having 2 very young kids when I worked at Edgars. Then I end up working with one of these kids some 16/17 years later! I suddenly felt very old!

Keep those names coming!

As I said I left in 1979 I called in to see Ray in 1989 with Sligo.Ray said then that the writing was on the wall for Edgars.

I do remember Paula Turtle

This is a great thread, It's so nice people can contact one another after so many years, althought I know none of the people listed it's still good reading. :)

Thanks poppins ~ it is a good thread this one isn't it? Believe me, it was a great place to work. It was the one and only job I've had (and I've had a few over the years!) that I REALLY looked forward to going to! The people were very genuine and I had some good laughs there.

Shadbolt ( cant remember his first name )

George Tucker ( fork truck driver cum allsorts )

Paula ( I believe her maiden name was "twelvetrees" )

just a few more to be going on with

Remember Geoff Swannack. But wasn't it LORRAINE Twelvetrees? She was in the stationery /printing dept. Or are you thinking of Paula Turtle from Accounts? Also know John Redwood by name but can't place his face.
