Highly likely that the Sheffield LGB and Rag groups are doing something along with Student Welfare at Sheffield University and I would imagine that Hallam Union are up to something too... As for Sheffield community beyond the students, it's hard to say...

igm1
The students themselves could be a charity. The amount they have to pay and the debt that most leave with is awful.

Martin_s
Hint: Guys... this isn't a student thread... Now about world aids day... I'd imagine a search on Terrence Higgins trust, etc... would turn something up...

scooterlass
Saturday December 3rd, SOSA-XA Sounds of Southern Africa and CD4 Project a new group from Sheffield with artists from many corners of the world. Samples of music from THE CD4 PROJECT A group of musicians from around the globe have come together to support a local organisation called Shield who supports people infected or affected by HIV and Aids throughout South Yorkshire. The album we hope will raise awareness relating to HIV and support people living with HIV. The album is both colourful and vibrant, with a message for everybody on World Aids Day December 1st 2005.
