Ask Grownsy - his Pa was a top Sheffield DJ, seen the picture of him being presented with a trophy by Noel Edmunds for winning 'Best South Yorkshire DJ' many moons ago It's possibly the best photograph I've ever seen! AlanF Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 I used to DJ at the Top Rank in the late 60's then The Cavendish Club (Baileys later) and also did spots at the Penny Farthing, Tiffanys and Samanthas. Later went on to Rotherham to the Charade and Adam Eve. Remember the dj's back then were Dave Growns, Ray Banks, Steve Just, Brian Westlake, Ian Gurney, Ray Stuart, Mighty Atom, Alan Gee, Keith Jessop and may more who I have forgotten their names.
