crookesey
Can anyone remember this department store that used to be on The Moor ? I used to be taken there to have my hair cut as a child and would be sat into a toy car in an effort to keep me confined ! They also had an Xray type of shoe measuring device, long ago banned ! The X ray machine was in a shoe shop across from Walshes.

le-joker
Yeah, my mom bought me a two piece navy blue suit from here, short trousers of course, I must have been about seven of eigth years old, so that would be around 1954 - 55.
pete371
When I was 10, my mum took me there and bought me a red courderoy jerkin. ( I don't know what jerkins are called now ) I absolutely loved it because it was unusual. The trouble was, if me and my pals got into mischief, I was the one to be identified - "It was that lad with the blonde hair and red jerkin"
